Basic Oat Bran Muffins Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tb sliced pimento
  • Tomato Mustard:
  • 1 ts Sugar
  • Spicy Mustard:
  • 1/2 ts Crushed tarragon
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1 ts Paprika
  • 1/4 ts Ground turmeric
  • 1/2 c Tomato paste
  • 1/3 c Dry white wine
  • Lime Mustard:
  • 3 Egg yolks
  • 1/4 c White wine vinegar
  • 1/4 ts Ground cloves
  • 3/4 ts Grated lime peel
  • Jim Vorheis
  • 1/4 c Dry mustard
  • Tarragon Mustard:
  • 1 1/2 ts Lime juice

Directions
  • Step #1 mix all ingredients except egg yolks & let this stand 2 hrs.
  • Step #2 Beat egg yolks into mixture.
  • Step #3 Cook, stirring constantly, over hot (not boiling) water until slightly thickened, about 5 mins.
  • Step #4 Cover & store this in refrigerator for up to a month.
  • Step #5 LIME MUSTARD: When adding egg yolks, also add lime peel & juice and follow basic mustard recipe.
  • Step #6 serve this with lamb, chicken or fish.
  • Step #7 TARRAGON MUSTARD: When adding egg yolks, also add tarragon & follow basic mustard recipe.
  • Step #8 serve this with lamb, chicken, shrimp or steaks.
  • Step #9 SPICY MUSTARD: When adding egg yolks, also add turmeric & cloves and follow basic mustard recipe.
  • Step #10 serve this with ham, hamburgers or hot dogs.
  • Step #11 TOMATO MUSTARD: When adding egg yolks, also add paprika, pimento and tomato paste & follow basic mustard recipe.
  • Step #12 serve this with seafood, hamburgers, hot dogs or ham.
