Margarita Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c Raisins
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 2 c All Purpose Flour
  • 3 ts Baking Powder
  • 2 tb Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/3 c Milk
  • 2 tb Shortening, chilled

Directions
  • Step #1 Yield: 12 Sift dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
  • Step #2 Cut in shortening until it is the size of small peas.
  • Step #3 Using a small bowl, beat eggs, then beat in milk & pour this into flour mixture.
  • Step #4 Stir just until mixed; do not overmix or dough will become tough.
  • Step #5 Fold in raisins.
  • Step #6 Roll out dough on floured surface until 2 inches thick, then cut into rounds on greased baking sheet.
  • Step #7 Bake in oven preheated ot 425F degrees for 12 - 15 mins, or until lightly browned.
