Step #2 Best enjoyed with a cold glass of milk, these flat buttery cookies mix perfect amounts of crunch & chewiness.
Step #3 Use an ice-cream scoop to make evenly sized cookies.
Step #4 If cookies harden before you have a chance to remove them from the baking sheet, return the sheet to the oven for a few seconds to soften the dough for easier removal.

Step #7 Cream butter until smooth; add sugars.
Step #8 Beat in eggs & vanilla.
Step #9 Sift together dry ingredients, & slowly beat into wet mixture.
Step #10 Fold in chocolate-chips.
Step #11 Chill dough until firm, at least 15 mins.

Step #13 Drop 2 to 3 tbsps chilled batter per cookie onto a well-greased baking sheets lined with baking mats or parchment; space batter about 2 inches apart for spreading.
Step #14 Bake 8 to 10 mins, until golden.
