Martini~ Dry (5-to-1) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tb Gin
  • 2 ea 5 oz rib eye/sirloin steaks
  • 1/2 ts Dried marjoram
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1/2 ts Dried basil
  • 6 ea Pimento stuffed olives
  • 2 tb Vegetable oil
  • 1 tb Dry vermouth
  • 2 ea Garlic cloves crushed
  • 1 x Dash of angostura bitters

Directions
  • Step #1 In a shallow dish, mix all ingredients except meat & olives.
  • Step #2 Score steaks with shallow crisscross cuts on one side; add to marinade.
  • Step #3 Marinate at about room temp for two hrs; turn several times.
  • Step #4 Remove steaks, save marinade.
  • Step #5 Broil or place on hot grill about three inches from heat.
  • Step #6 Cook four mins per side for rare; six mins for medium; baste meat several times with marinade.
  • Step #7 Garnish with olives on a toothpick.
