Matzo Apple Kugel Recipe

Ingredients

2 ts Nutmeg
2 1/2 c Brown sugar
4 c Flour
Figs & dates as desired
15 oz Raisins
3 ts Cinnamon
2 c Jam
3 Eggs, lg
2 ts Baking soda
2 ts Cloves
3/4 c Butter
1 c Nutmeats
2 c Sour milk

Directions

Step #1 Mix all ingredients together well except jam.
Step #2 Lastly, carefully stir in the the 2c jam.
Step #3 pour this into greased & floured 9" round cake pans.
Step #4 Bake in 325F degree oven for 35-40 mins or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Step #5 If desired, serve caramel icing.
