Meat Sauce For Vegetables (korean Chang) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1/4 ts Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 ts Ground cloves
  • 3 Bay leaves
  • 1 tb Chili powder
  • 3 tb Olive oil
  • 2 c Chicken stock
  • 3 Cloves garlic; minced
  • 2 ts Basil leaves, ground
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 lb Ground pork
  • 1/4 c Tomato paste
  • 1 Onion; sliced
  • 5 c Crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 Green pepper; sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #2 Add beef, onion, green pepper, pork, & garlic & saute until browned, about 10 mins.
  • Step #3 With a slotted spoon to drain off the fat, place the sauteed ingredients in a 4-quart saucepan.
  • Step #4 Add the remaining ingredients & mix well.
  • Step #5 Slowly bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, & let simmer for 2 hrs.
