Meatballs In Sauce With Rice Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 Beef bouillon cube
  • 1 c Water
  • 1 tb Dijon mustard
  • 1 sm Onion; finely sliced
  • 1 c Milk
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 3 tb Flour
  • 3 tb Chives; finely snipped -or-
  • 1/2 c Water
  • 3/4 c Bread crumbs
  • 1 tb Cornstarch
  • 1 tb Dijon mustard
  • 1 lb Lean ground beef
  • 1 ts Lemon juice
  • 1/4 ts Pepper
  • 1 1/2 ts Instant beef bouillon; -or-
  • 1 tb Dried chives
  • 1/4 ts Pepper ----dijon sauce-----

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 400.
  • Step #2 Mix all ingredients except Dijon sauce.
  • Step #3 Shape into twenty-four 1 1/4 inch meatballs.
  • Step #4 Place on rack sprayed with nonstick cooking spray in broiler pan.
  • Step #5 Bake uncovered until done & light brown, 20 to 25 mins.
  • Step #6 Prepare Dijon sauce; add meatballs, stirring carefully until meatballs are hot.
  • Step #7 Serve over noodles.
  • Step #8 Dijon sauce: Mix flour, cornstarch, bouillon (dry) & water in a saucepan; stir in the remaining ingredients.
  • Step #9 Cook over med-heat/flame until mixture thickens & boils, stirring constantly.
  • Step #10 Boil & stir one min.
