Merry Christmas Molasses Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c HERSHEY'S White Chips
  • 1 c HERSHEY'S Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tb Shortening
  • 11 1/2 oz Lightly salted peanuts - divided

Directions
  • Step #1 (do not use butter, margarine or oil) In small microwave-safe bowl, place chocolate chips, white chips and shortening.
  • Step #2 Microwave at HIGH (100%) 1 to 1-1/2 mins or until chips are melted & mixture is smooth when stirred.
  • Step #3 Reserve 1/4 c peanuts for garnish; stir remaining peanuts into chocolate mixture.
  • Step #4 Drop by tspfuls into 1-inch diameter candy papers; top each candy with peanut.
  • Step #5 put in the fridge, uncovered, until chocolate is set, about 1 hr.
  • Step #6 store this in airtight container in cool, dry place.
  • Step #7 About 3 dozen candies.
