Beef In Red Wine Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 Gill water
  • 1 tb Flour
  • 8 oz Lean joint of beef
  • 4 oz Mushrooms
  • 1 md Onion
  • 1 oz Bacon or some bacon rind
  • 1 tb Fat
  • 1 ts Salt
  • pn Of pepper
  • 1 Gill sour milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Put piece of beef in hot fat.
  • Step #2 Add peeled & sliced mushrooms, sliced onions & Spice upings.
  • Step #3 Fry these for a few mins before adding the water.
  • Step #4 Put the lid on & let it cook slowly, until meat is tender.
  • Step #5 Remove meat & cut it on board into slices about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Step #6 Add flour to the pan in which the meat was cooked, stir well & add the sour milk.
  • Step #7 Arrange the slices of meat on a dish, & pour thick gravy over it before serving.
  • Step #8 Garnish with boiled macaroni.
