Belgian Beef Stew Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ts Sugar
  • 1 lg Egg
  • 1/4 c Sugar
  • 1 c Water,lukewarm
  • 3 lg Eggs
  • 1/4 c Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c Water,lukewarm
  • 7 c Flour
  • 2 tb Dry yeast,scant
  • 2 ts Salt

Directions
  • Step #1 : Place water in glass bowl w/yeast & sugar.
  • Step #2 Stir & let sit for 10min.
  • Step #3 : Add eggs, & remaining water & sugar, oil, & slowly work in the flour, salt, adding enough to make a soft, tacky dough.
  • Step #4 Knead for about 10min or til smooth.
  • Step #5 Let rise for 1hr in greased bowl.
  • Step #6 : Divide into equal rounds (3 per loaf), about the size of tennis balls.
  • Step #7 Place 3 round together, touching to form a triangle on a greased cookie sheet.
  • Step #8 Repeat for each loaf.
  • Step #9 Let rise about 1/2hr, uncovered.
  • Step #10 : preheat your trusty oven to 375F.
  • Step #11 Brush dough w/extra egg, beaten, & bake 20min or til golden.
