Bema's Chicken & Rice Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 ea 3 to 4 lb beef brisket
  • 4 ea Whole black peppercorns
  • 1 tb Brown sugar
  • 1/4 ts Dried thyme, crushed
  • 1 ea 12 0z can Coors beer
  • 2 ts Instant beef bouillon granul
  • 1 ea Bay leaf
  • 3 ea Medium onions-sliced
  • 1 ea Clove garlic

Directions
  • Step #1 Trim fat from brisket.
  • Step #2 Spice up meat with a little salt & pepper.
  • Step #3 place this in baking pan; cover with onion.
  • Step #4 Reserve 1/3 c Coors.
  • Step #5 mix remaining Coors, brown sugar, bouillon granules & spices; pour over meat.
  • Step #6 Cover with foil.
  • Step #7 bake this at 350 degrees for 3 to 3-1/2 hrs or till meat is tender.
  • Step #8 Remove meat.
  • Step #9 Skim off fat from pan juices;remove bay leaf.
  • Step #10 In saucepan cook juices down to 2 c.
  • Step #11 mix reserved Coors & flour;stir in theto pan juices.
  • Step #12 Cook & stir till thickened.
  • Step #13 Cook 1 to 2 mins more.
  • Step #14 Spice up to taste.
  • Step #15 Slice meat across the grain;pass gravy.
