Mexican Pita Chips Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c Chili Powder
  • 1/4 c Water
  • 1 1/2 ts Salsa Verde; Hot Green Salsa
  • 3 c Pinto Beans; Cooked
  • 1/2 c Monterey Jack; Shredded

Directions
  • Step #1 Puree the beans to a coarse paste in a mixer or food processor/blender or mash by hand.
  • Step #2 Place the bean paste in a sauce pan with the water and heat.
  • Step #3 Mix in all the other ingredients, mixing well, & let simmer until the cheese is melted, about 5 mins.
  • Step #4 Put in chafing dish and serve hot.
  • Step #5 Makes about 3 3/4 c of dip.
  • Step #6 SUGGESTED DIPPERS: Tortilla Chips, Celery, Black Cocktail Rye Bread, Bell Peppers, Monterey Jack Cheese Cubes or Sticks.
