Corned Beef And Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps cider vinegar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled & quartered
  • 1 medium onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 (3 lb) corned beef brisket with spice packet, cut in half
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsps sugar
  • 1 lb baby carrots
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 small head cabbage, cut into wedges
  • 3 c water

Directions
  • Step #1 Place the onion, potatoes & carrots in a 5-qt.
  • Step #2 slow cooker.
  • Step #3 Combine water, bay leaf, vinegar, garlic, sugar, pepper & contents of spice packet; pour over vegetables.
  • Step #4 Top with brisket & cabbage.
  • Step #5 Cover & cook on low for 8-9 hrs or until meat & vegetables are tender.
  • Step #6 Remove bay leaf before serving.
