Mixed Wild Mushrooms With Grilled Polenta Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 lb Mushrooms
  • 2 ts Salt
  • 2 Garlic cloves finely sliced
  • 1 lb Bok choy 4 lg Celery stalks
  • 1/2 lb Pea pods
  • 1/4 c Oyster sauce
  • 1 c Sliced, bamboo shoots
  • 4 Green onions
  • 1 c Canned chicken broth
  • 1/2 c Vegetable oil
  • 2 tb Cornstarch
  • 4 sl Ginger root finely sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut the bok choy with its leaves diagonally into 1/2-in.
  • Step #2 slices.
  • Step #3 Snap off ends & remove strings from pea pods.
  • Step #4 Place pea pods in boiling water to cover & cook, covered, 1 min; drain.
  • Step #5 as soon as possible rinse under cold water & drain again.
  • Step #6 Cut the mushrooms into 1/4-in.
  • Step #7 slices.
  • Step #8 Cut the green onions into 2-in.
  • Step #9 pieces.
  • Step #10 Mix cornstarch with 2 tbs.
  • Step #11 cold water to dissolve.
  • Step #12 Set aside.
  • Step #13 Heat wok until a drop of water bubbles & skitters when Sprinkle topd in wok.
  • Step #14 Add oil & rotate wok to coat sides.
  • Step #15 Add gingerroot & garlic; stir-fry 1 min.
  • Step #16 Add mushrooms & bamboo shoots; stir 1 min.
  • Step #17 stir in the chicken broth & salt; heat to boiling.
  • Step #18 stir in the dissolved cornstarch.
  • Step #19 Cook & stir until thickened, approx.
  • Step #20 10 sec.
  • Step #21 Add pea pods, green onions, & oyster sauce.
  • Step #22 Cook & stir 30 sec.
  • Step #23 Serve as soon as possible.
