Ingredients
1/4 c Butter or margarine
1 c Light corn syrup
1/4 c Water
1/4 ts Salt
2 c C&H Golden Brown Sugar
Directions
Step #1 mix sugar, water, syrup, & salt in a 3-quart saucepan.
Step #2 Slowly bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sugar completely dissolves, then frequently to prevent burning.
Step #3 Boil to 285 degrees (soft-crack stage).
Step #4 Add butter & continue to cook, stirring constantly until temperature reaches 295 degree (hard-crack stage).
Step #5 remove this from heat; let set a min until bubbling stops.
Step #6 pour this into a well-buttered 13x9-inch pan.
Step #7 Cool, then break into pieces.
Step #8 Makes about 1-1/2 lbs.
