Ingredients
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • Walnut halves
  • 1/4 c Butter
  • 1/2 c sliced walnuts
  • 1 c Brown sugar
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 3/4 c Sour cream

Directions
  • Step #1 Melted brown sugar & sour cream gives this fudge its unusually good flavor.
  • Step #2 Melt butter in a heavy saucepan.
  • Step #3 Add brown sugar & heat to boiling.
  • Step #4 Add sugar & sour cream.
  • Step #5 Cook over med-heat/flame until sugar dissolves, then slightly higher heat to 236 degrees F.
  • Step #6 Without stirring cool at about room temp to lukewarm.
  • Step #7 Beat until mixture holds its shape & loses its gloss.
  • Step #8 Quickly add vanilla & nuts.
  • Step #9 Spread as soon as possible in a buttered 8-inch square pan.
  • Step #10 Cool & cut into squares.
  • Step #11 Garnish with walnut halves.
  • Step #12 Makes about 49 pieces.
