• 1 ts Vanilla
• 1 c C & H Golden Brown Sugar - firmly packed
• 1/2 c Apricot jam
• 1 Egg
• 1 c Butter or margarine
• 1 c sliced walnuts
• 1 3/4 c All-purpose flour

• Step #1 Beat together sugar, butter, egg & vanilla until smooth & creamy.
• Step #2 stir in the flour & nuts.
• Step #3 Spoon half the batter in a greased 9-inch square pan; spread evenly.
• Step #4 Spread batter evenly with jam.
• Step #5 Cover jam with remaining batter.
• Step #6 Bake in 325F degree oven 50 mins.
• Step #7 Cool 10 mins.
• Step #8 Cut into 32 bars (1 x 2 inches).
