California Lemon Crunch Dessert Recipe

Ingredients
  • ---CRUST------
  • 1/4 c Confectioners' sugar
  • 1 c Flour
  • 1/2 c Butter

Directions
  • Step #1 --TOPPING----- 2 Eggs 1 c Sugar 2 tb Flour 1/2 ts Baking powder 2 tb Lemon juice 2 ts Grated lemon peel.
  • Step #2 Crust: Mix together first three ingredients & press into ungreased 8" or 9" square pan.
  • Step #3 bake this at 350 degrees 12-15 mins until light brown.
  • Step #4 Cool in pan on rack Topping: Beat eggs well; beat in rest of ingredients.
  • Step #5 pour this into crust.
  • Step #6 Bake at 350 degrees 25.
  • Step #7 (Puffs in baking, falls in cooling) Cool in pan on rack & cut into squares or bars (Sprinkle top with confectioners' sugar if you want.
  • Step #8 ) Enjoy Rosemary.
