Candied Pineapple Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c Pickled Sweet Cherry Peppers
  • 2 ts Onion; Instant, Minced
  • 1 ts Mustard Seed
  • 1 qt Pickles; Sour Or Dill; Drain
  • 1/2 ts Dried Hot Peppers; Crushed
  • 1 ts Celery Seed
  • 3 c Sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 NOTE: The pickled sweet cherry peppers should be coarsely sliced.
  • Step #2 Remove the tips from the pickles.
  • Step #3 Cut the pickles into medium sticks, drain.
  • Step #4 Mix the pickles & the remaining ingredients in a glass bowl & cover.
  • Step #5 put in the fridge for at least 12 hrs.
  • Step #6 Stir the pickle mixture until all the sugar is dissolved.
  • Step #7 Pack the pickles in small jars and add the syrup to cover them.
  • Step #8 Cover & put in the fridge for at least 24 hrs before using but no longer than 2 weeks.
  • Step #9 Makes 1 quart of candied pickle sticks.
