Canned Vegetable Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ts Butter or margarine
  • Taste, grated
  • 1 cn Light tuna or bonito 6 1/2
  • 1 1/2 tb Dry bread crumbs
  • 1 c Brown or white rice
  • 1 cn Mushroom Soup, 10 1/2 oz
  • Oz can, drained
  • 2 oz Cheddar Cheese, or more to

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook rice following package directions.
  • Step #2 Stir soup into rice.
  • Step #3 Mash tuna & stir in theto rice mixture.
  • Step #4 Spread butter over inside of 1 3/4-quart casserole; Sprinkle top bread crumbs over butter.
  • Step #5 Pour tuna-rice mixture into casserole and sprinkele with grated cheese.
  • Step #6 Bake on middle shelf of preheated 375-degree oven 30 mins.
  • Step #7 Serves 4 to 6.
  • Step #8 Variation: Add any vegetables you fancy to the rice mixture.
  • Step #9 It's a good way to use up leftover peas and/or carrots.
