Caramel Corn #10 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c White corn syrup
  • 2 c Mixed nuts
  • 8 qt Popped corn
  • 2 c Butter
  • 1 ts Butter-flavor extract
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1/2 ts Soda
  • 2 c Brown sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Divide popped corn & nuts into 2 large aluminum roasting pans.
  • Step #2 In a saucepan mix sugar, syrup, butter, salt & butter extract flavoring.
  • Step #3 Bring to a boil stirring constantly.
  • Step #4 Boil 5 mins.
  • Step #5 remove this from heat & add soda.
  • Step #6 Mix well.
  • Step #7 Pour evenly over corn & nuts in the two roasting pans.
  • Step #8 Bake for 1 hr at 250-degrees, stirring every 20 mins.
  • Step #9 Pour onto waxed paper & cool.
