Old-fashioned Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 ts Vanilla
  • 3 tb Butter or margarine
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 4 oz Unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 1/2 c Milk
  • 3 tb Light corn syrup
  • 4 c Sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 mix milk & chocolate in medium-size heavy saucepan; cook over low heat/flame until chocolate is melted.
  • Step #3 Add sugar, stirring constantly, corn syrup and salt & cook, to boiling.

  • Step #5 Cook, without stirring to 234F on a candy thermometer.
