Step #1 In saucepan, mix sugar & flour.
Step #2 Stir well to break up any lumps.
Step #3 Add 2 to 3 c milk & eggs.
Step #4 Cook, stirring constantly, until thick (usually until it comes to a boil).
Step #5 Cool.
Step #6 Add vanilla.
Step #7 pour this into freezer & add enough milk to fill freezer 2/3 to 3/4 full.
Step #8 It usually takes our ice cream freezer from 25-40 mins to get the ice cream done.
Step #9 This is a recipe we've used in our family since the 1950's.
