Ingredients
1 ts Vinegar
2 c Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Light corn syrup
20 c Popcorn
1 ts Vanilla
1 c Water
Directions
Step #1 preheat your trusty oven to 300.
Step #2 Remove all unpopped kernels from popped corn.
Step #3 Put popcorn in a large roasting pan; keep warm in oven.
Step #4 Butter the sides of a 2-quart saucepan.
Step #5 In it mix sugar, corn syrup, vinegar, water, & salt.
Step #6 Cook to 270 deg (soft-crack stage), stirring frequently (mixture should boil carefully over entire surface).
Step #7 Remove from heat; stir in the vanilla.
Step #8 Slowly pour mixture over hot popcorn.
Step #9 Stir just until mixed.
Step #10 Butter hands; using a buttered c, sccop up popcorn mixture.
Step #11 Shape with buttered hands into 2-1/2 to 3-inch balls.
