Ingredients
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 2 c Flour
  • 1/2 c Dried currants
  • 1 tb Baking powder
  • 1/4 c Chilled unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 ts Grated orange peel
  • 1 Egg, separated
  • 1 Egg
  • 3/4 c Whipping cream
  • 1/4 c Sugar

  • Step #15 Brush tops with egg white.
  • Step #16 Sprinkle top lightly with sugar.
  • Step #17 Bake scones until puffy & light brown, about 18 mins.
