Chicken Church Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 tsps dried basil
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1 1/3 c milk
  • 2 lbs elbow macaroni, cooked, drained
  • 2 tsps lemon-pepper seasoning
  • 6 (6 oz) jars sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 lbs process cheese (Velveeta), cubed
  • 1/4 c butter, melted
  • 4 (10.75 oz) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 4 (10.75 oz) cans condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
  • 2 (4 oz) jars sliced pimiento, drained
  • 20 c cubed, cooked chicken
  • 2 large green bell peppers, sliced
  • 2 c crushed cornflakes

Directions
  • Step #1 In several large bowls, mix the chicken, pimientos, mushrooms, macaroni, peppers & onions.
  • Step #2 In a several other large bowls, milk, cheese, mix the soups, basil & lemon pepper; add to chicken mixture.
  • Step #3 Pour about 12 c each into four greased 13-in.
  • Step #4 x 9-in.
  • Step #5 x 2-in.
  • Step #6 baking pans.
  • Step #7 Cover & put in the fridge overnight.
  • Step #8 Remove from refrigerator 30 mins before baking.
  • Step #9 Combine cornflakes & butter; sprinkle it over the casseroles.
  • Step #10 Cover & bake this at 350 degrees F for 45 mins.
  • Step #11 Uncover & bake 15-20 min longer or until bubbly.
