Orange Sherbet Jello Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c Sugar
  • 3/4 c Boiling Water
  • 1 ts Unflavored Gelatin
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1/4 c Cold Water
  • 1/3 c Lemon Juice
  • 2 tb Grated Orange Rind
  • 1 Egg White
  • 3 tb Sugar
  • 1/3 c Orange Juice
  • 1/2 c Heavy Cream

Directions
  • Step #1 Sprinkle top gelatin on cold water add boiling water & 3/4 c sugar stir until dissolved.
  • Step #2 Add orange rind & fruit juices.
  • Step #3 Whip cream; add in the remaining sugar & salt.
  • Step #4 Beat egg white stiff; fold into cream.
  • Step #5 Fold in fruit juice mixture a little at a time.
  • Step #6 Freeze in ice cube tray stirring twice during first hr.
  • Step #7 Yield: 6 servings.
  • Step #8 Serve in sherbet glasses with crushed, sugaredstrawberries on top.
