Orange-rosemary Marinated Sirloin Steak Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c Confectioners' sugar
  • 1 2/3 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 c Skim milk
  • 1 tb Baking powder
  • 1/2 ts Salt, optional
  • 1 tb Orange juice
  • 1 -Whole egg, lightly beaten
  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • 1/2 c Raisins
  • 2 Egg whites; lightly beaten OR-
  • 1/3 c Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c Wheat germ
  • 1/4 c Vegetable oil
  • 2 ts Grated orange peel

Directions
  • Step #1 preheat your trusty oven to 400F F.
  • Step #2 Line 12 medium muffin pan c with paper liners, or spray bottoms only with cooking spray.
  • Step #3 In medium bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, raisins, wheat germ, baking powder & salt; mix well.
  • Step #4 In small bowl, mix milk, oil, egg & grated orange peel until mixed.
  • Step #5 Add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  • Step #6 Fill muffin c 2/3 full with batter.
  • Step #7 Bake 18 to 20 mins, or until light golden brown & wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Step #8 Remove muffins to wire rack to cool.
  • Step #9 In small bowl, mix confectioners' sugar & orange juice.
  • Step #10 Drizzle over slightly cooled muffins.
  • Step #11 Serve warm.
  • Step #12 NOTES: To freeze, wrap muffins securely in foil or place this in freezer bag.
  • Step #13 Seal, label & freeze.
  • Step #14 To reheat frozen muffins, unwrap; microwave at High (100% power) about 30 seconds per muffin.
  • Step #15 Per serving (1 muffin): About 200 cal, 5 g pro, 22% cal from fat, 0 mg chol, 5 g fat, 32 g car, 140 mg sod.
