Creamy Skillet Corn Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c whipping cream
  • 3 tbsps butter
  • 2 c frozen corn kernels
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • 2 tbsps water
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 c shallots, minced
  • salt to taste

Directions
  • Step #1 Melt butter in a large skillet over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #2 Add shallots & sugar, & saute for 2 to 3 mins.
  • Step #3 Stir in corn & water, & cook this until tender, about 5 mins.
  • Step #4 Gradually stir in the cream, & cook this until cream is reduced & sauce thickens, about 8 mins.
  • Step #5 Spice up with nutmeg, salt, & pepper.
