Step #1 Cream butter & sugar.
Step #2 Mix in egg; stir in the molasses.
Step #3 Sift flour with dry ingredients & add to butter.
Step #4 Turn to floured board and roll 1/4" thick; cut in oblong 3"X4".
Step #5 Score cards with knife in 1/2" parallel lines.
Step #6 Place on greased cookie sheet.
Step #7 Bake in slow (325 F) oven 10 mins.
