Cashew Chicken Chop Suey Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c Whole button mushrooms
  • 1/2 c Pea pods
  • 1 c Canned chicken broth
  • 1 c Sliced chicken breast
  • 1/2 c Cooked cashew nuts
  • 1/2 ts Cornstarch
  • 1/2 c Bamboo shoots
  • 1/2 ts Monosodium glutamate
  • 1/4 ts Sugar
  • 2 tb Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 ts Salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Swirl oil around bottom & sides of heated wok.
  • Step #2 Add salt & chicken, stir-fry 2 mins over high heat.
  • Step #3 Add pea pods, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, & chicken broth.
  • Step #4 Cover & cook 2-3 mins.
  • Step #5 carefully stir in the cashew nuts, monosodium glutamate, & sugar.
  • Step #6 Mix cornstarch with 1/2 tsp.
  • Step #7 water to form a paste & add to thicken the sauce.
  • Step #8 Serve as soon as possible.
