Celery Sukiyaki Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 ts Pepper
  • 3 c Celery;sliced
  • 2 ts Salt
  • 6 tb Butter
  • 2 tb Onion;sliced
  • 1 1/2 lb Stale white bread
  • 1 c Milk
  • Or
  • 1 c Broth from cooking giblets
  • 1 ts Poultry Spice uping

Directions
  • Step #1 Pull bread into small pieces; use crumbs & crusts; there should be about 6 c of coarse crumbs.
  • Step #2 Melt butter in large saucepan.
  • Step #3 add celery & onion, & cook with frequent stirring until soft and yellow.
  • Step #4 Add bread & Spice upings & toss together until well mixed.
  • Step #5 Cool.
  • Step #6 Add the liquid, mix lightly with a fork & stuff lightly into the dressed chicken.
  • Step #7 Makes enough for a 4-lb chicken.
