Ingredients
2 tb Shortening
1/2 ts Salt
4 tb Sugar
2 1/2 c Cake flour
1/3 c Warm water
16 Pieces white paper 2 inches square
1 1/4 c Low fat milk
2 1/2 c Flour
1 pk Dry yeast
1/2 ts Sugar
Directions
Step #1 --FILLING----- 6 oz Chinese BBQ pork, sliced 1 tb Oil 2 ts Water 1/2 ts Salt 1/2 ts Sugar 1/2 ts Thin soy sauce 1 ts Oyster sauce 1 ts Hoisin sauce 2 ts Cornstarch 4 ts Cold water (For thickening) Mix together the warm water, 1/2 tsp.

Step #6 Sift flour, cake flour, sugar & salt into a large mixing bowl.

Step #9 Cover with a damp cloth and set dough in a warm place.
Step #10 Allow the dough to rise for 3 hrs.
Step #11 Heat wok, add oil & stir-fry pork for 2 mins.
Step #12 Add 2 tbsps water, soy sauce, sugar, salt, oyster sauce and hoisin sauce.
Step #13 Bring it to a boil.
Step #14 Prepare thickening by mixing the cornstarch & 4 tbsps cold water.
Step #15 stir in theto the mixture & cook for 1 min.
Step #16 Let cool before using.
Step #17 After 3 hrs, when the dough has risen, shape into rolls about 2 inches in diameter.
Step #18 Cut each roll this into 1-1/2 inch pieces.
Step #19 Shape each piece into a shallow bowl shape.
Step #20 Put 1 tbsp filling in the center, close ans twist dough to form a bun.
Step #21 Put the bun on a 2 inch square of white paper.
Step #22 (This prevents the bun from becoming soggy while steaming.
Step #23 ) Place 8 buns in a pie pan & allow them to set & rist for 15 mins in a warm place.
Step #24 Steam for 25 mins.
