Chai Kurdi (kurdish Tea) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c Fine dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 c Milk
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1/3 c Onion; minced
  • 1 tb Fresh parsley; minced
  • 1 10oz jar grape jelly
  • 1/4 c Crisco vegetable shortening
  • 1/2 ts Black pepper
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 12oz bottle chili sauce
  • 1 tb Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Egg; beaten

Directions
  • Step #1 Recipe by: Mom's clipping from a 1960's women's magazine mix the first 9 ingredients, mixing well.
  • Step #2 Shape into 1" meatballs.
  • Step #3 Co in an electric skillet in hot shortening over med-heat/flame for 10-15 mins or until browned.
  • Step #4 Drain on paper towels.
  • Step #5 Discard grease.
  • Step #6 mix chili sauce & grape jelly in a medium saucepan (or same electric skillet); stir well.
  • Step #7 Add meatballs & let simmer on low for 30 mins, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #8 serve this with toothpicks out of a chafing dish to keep warm.
  • Step #9 Makes about 5 dozen meatballs.
