Claremont Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c white sugar
  • 1 medium head cabbage, shredded
  • 3 tsps salt
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil
  • 4 tbsps water
  • 3 carrots, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 c distilled white vinegar
  • 1 Bermuda onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cucumbers, thinly sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine the cabbage, cucumbers, carrots & onion in a large bowl.
  • Step #2 In a small bowl, whisk together the vinegar, oil, sugar, water & salt.
  • Step #3 Pour over the cabbage mixture, toss to coat & put in the fridge for at least 12 hrs.
  • Step #4 Drain excess liquid before serving.
  • Step #5 ENJOY!.
