Original German Sweet Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c Keebler Butter Braids pretzels
  • 1 c Planters Mixed Nuts or Planters Peanuts
  • 4 1/2 ts Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 1/4 ts Lawry's Spice uped Salt
  • 8 c CHEX brand cereals
  • 1/4 c Margarine or butter, melted

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 In small bowl add Lawry's Spice uped Salt & Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce to melted margarine; mix well.
  • Step #3 Pour CHEX Cereals, Planters Mixed Nuts or Planters Peanuts & Keebler Butter Braids pretzels into large GLAD-LOCK Zipper Bag.
  • Step #4 2.
  • Step #5 Pour margarine mixture over cereal mixture inside GLAD-LOCK Zipper Bag.
  • Step #6 Seal top of bag securely.
  • Step #7 Shake bag until all pieces are evenly coated.
  • Step #8 3.
  • Step #9 Pour contents of bag into large microwave-safe bowl.
  • Step #10 Microwave on HIGH 5-6 mins, stirring every 2 mins.
  • Step #11 Spread on absorbent paper to cool.
  • Step #12 store this in airtight container.
  • Step #13 Makes 9 c.
  • Step #14 CONVENTIONAL OVEN: 1.
  • Step #15 preheat your trusty oven to 250'F.
  • Step #16 2.
  • Step #17 Follow steps 1 & 2 above.
  • Step #18 3.
  • Step #19 Transfer mix to open roasting pan.
  • Step #20 Bake 1 hr, stirring every 15 mins.
  • Step #21 Cool & store as directed above.
  • Step #22 - Due to differences in microwave ovens, cooking time may need adjustment.
  • Step #23 These directions were developed using 625-700 watt ovens.
