Oven Baked German Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tb Vegetable cooking oil
  • 3 md Baking potatoes, peeled, cut

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut potatoes in strips after peeling.
  • Step #2 (My note: new potatoes will not bake as well but you could pat them dry with paper towel & try them.
  • Step #3 ) Coat baking sheet with no-stick cooking spray.
  • Step #4 Put potato strips into large bowl.
  • Step #5 Drizzle with cooking oil.
  • Step #6 Toss together well to coat.
  • Step #7 Arrange on baking sheet.
  • Step #8 Bake in a single layer in 450 F oven for 15 min.
  • Step #9 Turn & bake about 10-15 mins longer.
  • Step #10 (Note: time depends on thickness, check sooner if you cut them thin.
  • Step #11 ) Test a strip for crispness.
  • Step #12 Makes 4 servings 1 serving = 35 Cal, trace of fat (3 oz potato about 1 starch/bread exchange.
  • Step #13 1 c cooked sliced potato 118 cal, 26.
  • Step #14 5 gm carb, 3.
  • Step #15 3 gm protein,.
  • Step #16 2 gm fat).
