Ingredients
  • 1 ts Lemon Juice
  • 2 ts Cornstarch
  • 1 Clove Garlic, halved
  • 2 Apples, sliced
  • 1/2 Loaf of Favorite Bread
  • 1 pn Nutmeg, grated
  • 2 c Gruyere Cheese, grated
  • 2 c Cheddar Cheese, grated
  • 1 c Chicken Broth
  • 1 ds White Pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Rub inside of fondue pot with cut garlic clove.
  • Step #2 Place pot on stove, pour in chicken broth & lemon juice, & cook over med-heat/flame until bubbly.
  • Step #3 Turn heat to low, & slowly stir in the cheeses with a wooden spoon.
  • Step #4 mix in cornstarch, & continue to cook, stirring constantly.
  • Step #5 In about 2-3 mins, mixture should be thick & smooth (do not allow fondue to boil.
  • Step #6 ) Spice up this with salt & pepper and nutmeg.
  • Step #7 Place fondue pot on it's stand at the table, without the burner.
  • Step #8 serve this with bread cubes & apple slices.
