  • Step #1 1 lb bulk Italian sausage 1 lg onion sliced 10 oz frozen spinach cooked : & well drained 8 oz cream cheese softened 1 egg beaten 2 c shredded mozzarella : cheese, divided 2 c shredded cheddar : cheese 1 c cottage cheese 1/4 c grated parmesan cheese 1/4 ts salt & pepper 1/8 ts ground cinnamon 20 jumbo shell noodles : cooked & drained : marinara sauce 20 oz bottle Marinara sauce 1/4 c white wine 1/2 ts dried basil 1/4 ts minced garlic Basic marinara sauce of choice: add 1/4 c white wine, 1/2 tea of dried basil 1/4 tea.
  • Step #2 minced garlic for richer flavor.
  • Step #3 In skillet brown sausage crumbled & onion.
  • Step #4 Transfer to large bowl.
  • Step #5 Add in spinach, cream cheese & egg.
  • Step #6 Add 1 c mozzarella, cheddar & cottage cheese, along with parmesan.
  • Step #7 add Spice upings.
  • Step #8 Mix well.
  • Step #9 Stuff cooked shells, arrange in 13 x 9 in baking dish.
  • Step #10 Spoon sauce over shells.
  • Step #11 Reserve some sauce for serving.
  • Step #12 Cover & bake 40 mins.
