Ingredients
  • 1/2 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 ts CRISCO Shortening
  • 1 pk DUNCAN HINES Golden Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 42 Candied cherries

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 preheat your trusty oven to 375'F.
  • Step #3 Grease baking sheets.
  • Step #4 2.
  • Step #5 Prepare cookie mix following package directions.
  • Step #6 Shape thin layer of dough around each candied cherry.
  • Step #7 Place 2" apart on greased baking sheets.
  • Step #8 bake this at 375'F.
  • Step #9 for 8 mins until set but not browned.
  • Step #10 Cool 1 min on baking sheets.
  • Step #11 Remove to cooling racks.
  • Step #12 Cool completely.
  • Step #13 3.
  • Step #14 Place chocolate chips & shortening in small resealable plastic bag; seal.
  • Step #15 Place bag in bowl of hot water for several mins.
  • Step #16 Dry with paper towel.
  • Step #17 Knead until mixed & chocolate is smooth.
  • Step #18 Snip pinpoint hole in corner of bag.
  • Step #19 Drizzle chocolate over cookies.
  • Step #20 Allow drizzle to set before storing between layers of waxed paper in airtight container.
  • Step #21 Makes 3 to 3 1/2 dozen cookies TIP: Well-drained maraschino cherries may be substituted for candied cherries.
