Cheryl's Sourdough Starter Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c Brown sugar
  • TOPPING:
  • 6 1/2 c Blueberries
  • 1 c Flour
  • 1 1/2 To 4 tsps grated fresh
  • 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 c Butter, softened
  • A few pinches flour
  • Tart you like it
  • Lemon peel, depending on how

Directions
  • Step #1 Put the blueberries in a large but shallow baking dish.
  • Step #2 You can vary the amount of blueberries by half a c either way without making any difference; 6 1/2 c is what I happened to have on hand.
  • Step #3 Lightly Sprinkle top a few pinches of flour over the blueberries to help absorb the berry juice.
  • Step #4 You can omit the flour if you want; if you do, there will be more leftover berry juice in the bottom of the pan.
  • Step #5 Sprinkle top the lemon peel over the berries.
  • Step #6 The tartness of fresh lemon peel balances the sweetness of the berries & topping, so use the amount that suits your personal taste.
  • Step #7 Then go change the name of the recipe & put your own name in; you've customized it, you deserve it! :) Reduce the amount of lemon peel if you decide to cut back on the amount of topping.
  • Step #8 Mix together the remaining ingredients; it will be easier if the butter & brown sugar are nice & soft.
  • Step #9 Sprinkle top the mix on the berries.
  • Step #10 Bake for 25 mins at 275-degrees F.
