- 1 c vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 c butter
- 1/2 c sugar
- 3/4 c Italian salad dressing
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 2 c mayonnaise
Directions
- Step #1 In a saucepan, melt butter.
- Step #2 Meanwhile, mix vinegar, celery seed, eggs, salt & pepper.
- Step #3 Gradually add to butter, stirring constantly.
- Step #4 Cook & stir over med-heat/flame for 5 mins or until slightly thickened & a thermometer reads 160 degrees F.
- Step #5 Remove from the heat & allow this to cool.
- Step #6 Mix in mayonnaise, Italian dressing & sugar.
- Step #7 Cover & chill for at least 1 hr.
- Step #8 Serve over coleslaw, vegetables or pasta.
