Cocktail Meatballsi Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp snipped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/3 c minced onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (12 oz) bottle chile sauce
  • 1 1/4 c grape jelly
  • 1/2 c dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c shortening
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 c milk

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, dry bread crumbs & milk.
  • Step #2 Blend in ground pepper, onion, salt, parsley, egg & Worcestershire sauce.
  • Step #3 Mix thoroughly.
  • Step #4 Shape the beef mixture into 1 inch meatballs.
  • Step #5 In a large skillet, melt the shortening over med-heat/flame & brown the meatballs.
  • Step #6 Meanwhile, stirring every once in awhile, in a medium saucepan, mix the chile sauce & grape jelly over med-heat/flame, until jelly is melted.
  • Step #7 Pour the sauce over the browning meatballs & let simmer for 30 mins, or until meatballs are thoroughly cooked.
