Clay's Sherry Wine Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (18.25 oz) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 c sliced walnuts
  • 1 1/2 c water
  • 1 (3.5 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1/2 c cream sherry
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 c vegetable oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Grease & flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.
  • Step #3 In a medium bowl, stir this together the cake mix & pudding mix.
  • Step #4 Add the eggs, water & oil, sherry, mix until smooth.
  • Step #5 Sprinkle top the sliced nuts into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Step #6 Pour the batter over the nuts.
  • Step #7 Bake for 35 to 40 mins in the preheated oven, until object inserted comes out clean.
  • Step #8 Allow cake to cool in the pan for 10 mins before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
