Chocolate Sheet Cakei Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c buttermilk
  • 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 c water
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 c white sugar
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Grease & flour an 11x17 inch sheet cake pan.
  • Step #3 In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar & baking soda.
  • Step #4 Stir in the eggs, vanilla & buttermilk.
  • Step #5 Set aside.
  • Step #6 In a saucepan mix butter, oil, cocoa & water.
  • Step #7 Bring to a boil & stir until smooth.
  • Step #8 Slowly mix into the flour mixture.
  • Step #9 Pour into prepared pan.
  • Step #10 Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 mins, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
