Chocolate Cakev Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c boiling water
  •  
  • 3 c cold milk
  • 2 (1.3 oz) envelopes whipped topping mix
  • 1 (18.25 oz) package chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 c cold water
  • 1 (3 oz) package fruit flavored gelatin mix
  • 2 (3.9 oz) packages instant chocolate pudding mix

Directions
  • Step #1 Prepare & bake cake mix according to package directions for a 9x13 inch pan.
  • Step #2 Poke holes in cake while still hot with a fork.
  • Step #3 Make gelatin with 1 c of boiling water, then stir in the cold water.
  • Step #4 Slowly pour liquid gelatin over hot cake.
  • Step #5 Cool cake completely in the freezer before frosting.
  • Step #6 To make the frosting: Using an electric mixer, beat together the instant pudding, whipped topping & milk until thickened.
  • Step #7 Pour over completely cooled cake.
  • Step #8 Keep cake in freezer until ready to serve.
