Cheesy Rigatoni Bake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c water
  • 2 c shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 c milk
  • 2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 (16 oz) package rigatoni or large tube pasta
  • 2 tbsps butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook pasta according to package directions.
  • Step #2 Meanwhile, in a saucepan, melt butter.
  • Step #3 Stir in flour & salt until smooth; slowly add milk & water.
  • Step #4 Bring to a boil; cook & stir for 2 mins or until thickened.
  • Step #5 Drain pasta; place this in a large bowl.
  • Step #6 Add eggs.
  • Step #7 Spoon into two greased 8-in.
  • Step #8 square baking dishes.
  • Step #9 Top each with one can of tomato sauce & mozzarella cheese.
  • Step #10 Spoon white sauce over top; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Step #11 Cover & freeze one casserole for up to 3 months.
  • Step #12 Bake second casserole, uncovered, at 375 degrees F for 30-35 mins or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F.
