Courtney's Three Tomato Pasta Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (28 oz) can Italian-style sliced tomatoes
  • 3 tbsps minced garlic
  • 1/2 lb bulk mild Italian sausage
  • 1/2 lb bulk hot Italian sausage
  • 1/2 large onion, coarsely sliced
  • 1 lb cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 c olive oil from jar of sun-dried tomatoes
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 c oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes, drained & sliced
  • Italian seasoning to taste
  • 1 c cream

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook mild & hot Italian sausage in a large skillet over med-heat/flame until crumbly & no longer pink.
  • Step #2 Drain excess grease & set aside.
  • Step #3 Heat olive oil in the same pan over med-heat/flame; stir in the onion & garlic, & cook this until the onion has softened & turned translucent.
  • Step #4 Stir in sliced & sun-dried tomatoes, & the crumbled sausage; season this with salt, pepper, & Italian seasoning to taste.
  • Step #5 Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low & let simmer for 10 mins until sun-dried tomatoes have softened.
  • Step #6 Before serving, stir in the cream & garnish with cherry tomatoes.
