Step #1 Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat/flame.
Step #2 Add marshmallows, & cook this until melted, stirring constantly.
Step #3 Remove from heat, vanilla, & stir in the the food coloring, & cornflakes.
Step #4 Quickly drop heaping tbspfuls of the mixture onto waxed paper, & form into a wreath shape with lightly greased fingers.
Step #5 Immediately decorate with red hot candies.
Step #6 Allow to cool to about room temp before removing from waxed paper, & storing in an airtight container.
