Step #1 Mix together the flour, baking powder & baking soda.
Step #2 Set aside.
Step #3 Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 quart ''wide mouth'' canning jar.
Step #4 Press each layer firmly in place.
Step #5 It will be a tight fit.
Step #6 Add sliced peanut butter c last.
Step #7 Attach these directions to Jar: Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cookies 1.
Step #8 Remove peanut butter c from jar.
Step #9 Set aside.

Step #11 Empty remaining cookie mix into large mixing bowl.
Step #12 Use your hands to thoroughly mix mix.

Step #14 Add 1/2 c butter or margarine, softened at about room temp.
Step #15 DO NOT USE DIET MARGARINE.
Step #16 Add in 1 egg, slightly beaten, & 1 tsp vanilla.

Step #18 Mix until completely mixed.
Step #19 You will need to finish mixing with your hands.
Step #20 5.
Step #21 Mix in peanut butter c.
Step #22 6.
Step #23 Shape into walnut sized balls.
Step #24 Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
Step #25 7.
Step #26 Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 12 to 14 mins until edges are lightly browned.
Step #27 Cool 5 mins on baking sheet.
Step #28 Remove cookies to racks to finish cooling.
Step #29 Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
